Harris, Democrats will come for your guns

The 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates are talking about gun control and promising to come after your gun rights if Congress doesn’t do it first.

Kamala Harris fired the first shot this week during a CNN Town Hall on Monday.

“Upon being elected, I will give the United States Congress 100 days to get their act together and have the courage to pass reasonable gun safety laws, and if they fail to do it, then I will take executive action,” Harris said.

Erich Pratt with Gun Owners of America told KTRH this is nothing more than campaign rhetoric.

“No candidate has won the White House by actively campaigning for gun control, not even Barack Obama,” Pratt said.

But Pratt also expects that Harris won't be alone in making these kind of threats against gun rights; the other candidates will, too.

“It’s like mosquitos being attracted to a bug zapper; they can’t resist running toward gun control,” Pratt stated.

However, that didn't work for Hillary Clinton, who lost key states she needed to win the house because she was pushing for gun control three years ago.
