Supreme Court hearing census case

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments over the Trump Administration’s plan to add the citizenship question to the census next year.

The justices are considering the case because the census will be printed in the summer. David Ray with the Federation for American Immigration Reform says the question should be on there.

“We need to know who is here so that Congress can make policies that reflect the needs of the nation,” Ray said.

The left says the administration is trying to intimidate undocumented immigrants. Ray says that's nonsense.

“That makes no sense, the Census is anonymous,” Ray stated.

A federal judge struck down the plan earlier this year. And with oral arguments starting yesterday, a ruling should come in June.
