Marijuana Tied to Weight Loss

Just in time for the unofficial 4/20 marijuana holiday, a new study says marijuana users don't gain as much weight as people who don't smoke pot.

That may go against people's instincts that they may gain more weight due to the "munchies."

Researchers with Michigan State University studied a group of people over three years.

They found that everyone gained weight during the course of the study, but people who smoked pot gained less weight than people who didn't smoke weed.

Researchers say they're not sure exactly why it happens, but they point out that no one should use marijuana as a way to maintain or lose weight.
