Mayoral candidate Tony Buzbee claims Mayor Sylvester Turner’s "Be Alert Houston" marketing campaign could have possible campaign ethics violations.
"It is ironic that this mayor is illegally putting billboards up all over the city touting public safety when he is the one that has failed to put more police on the streets, and is at the same time laying off firefighters."
He said the mayor is speaking out of both sides of his mouth.
"City Hall in Houston is for sale, and this is more proof of that. Rather than promoting public safety, this billboard does nothing but promote this failed mayor."
He said he is considering legal action.
