Harris County is getting in on the lawsuit involving the question of citizenship being on the Census in 2020.
County Attorney Vince Ryan filed a court brief in the lawsuit seeking to remove the question of citizenship from the 2020 Census. KTRH legal analyst Chris Tritico is not surprised.
“If there’s an undercount because of that question, it could affect, drastically, the services and money that the county gets,” Tritico explained.
The county was joined in the brief by Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George and the City of Marfa.
