(Houston, TX) -- Harris County officials say a former Houston Astros draft pick is one of nine men arrested in an undercover child sex predator sting. Constable deputies say 32-year-old Michael Schurz faces charges of online solicitation of a minor and drug possession.
Schurz is a former minor league baseball player who was selected by the Astros in the first-year player draft in 2009 and released the following year. He and the other eight suspects were busted in a two-day sting operation conducted by several local law enforcement agencies.
