Astros, Bregman Sign $100M Deal

(Houston, TX) -- Major League Baseball sources and media reports say the Astros are buying out two years of Alex Bregman's free agency. The enormous deal is reportedly worth 100-million-dollars and will keep Bregman with the Astros through the 2024 season.

Last week, the 24-year-old third baseman turned up his nose at an offer of 641-thousand-dollars for the 2019 season.

Bregman played in his first All-Star game this past season, and was named its Most Valuable Player. He was a major factor in the Astros' first World Series win in 2017.
