(Houston, TX) -- The new record for attendance at a concert at the Houston Rodeo belongs to the previous record-holder, George Strait. Along with special guests Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen, Strait closed out the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with an audience of 80-thousand-108 fans.
The previous concert record was set in 2013, when 80,108 showed up for George Strait and his special guests Martina McBride and the Randy Rogers Band. Strait's performance this year was his 30th at the rodeo since 1984.
