(Houston, TX) -- Harris County officials are assuring residents that all promised flood-control projects will be completed. County commissioners have given the go-ahead to 134 of the 237 projects included in last year's voter-approved bond measure of more than two-billion-dollars.
County Judge Lina Hidalgo, who replaced Ed Emmett after last November's election, gave the Harris County Flood Control District the task of prioritizing the projects so they could be carried out in a logical order.
