FBI Concludes Probe Of Austin Bomber

(Austin, TX) -- The FBI investigation of last year's bombings in Austin is now complete. Hundreds of FBI agents and police officers were on the case as Mark Anthony Conditt's package bombs killed two people and injured several others. The investigation concluded Conditt acted alone, with no links to foreign or domestic terrorist or hate groups.

An FBI special agent says Conditt's recorded confession indicated he was "mentally troubled" and just wanted to kill people, and he had no intentions of stopping. The agent says there would have been another bombing that very night if the Austin police hadn't stopped him.
