Rap star Cardi B set a new attendance record with her Friday concert at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, drawing 75,580 fans to NRG Stadium.
The Grammy Award-winning artist was announced to perform on Black Heritage Day, and the show sold out 40 minutes after tickets went on sale.
The 26-year old’s songs may appeal to a younger audience, but her lyrics and comments may not be for young children.Rodeo officials promised to keep the event family friendly.
The previous record of 75,577 was set by Garth Brooks at his March 18 show last year.
