Bright Headlights Hard on the Eyes?

Are headlights getting too bright? Experts say car manufacturers are making lights brighter, in large part so that drivers can see better in low-light conditions. But it also comes at a cost for the drivers in oncoming traffic.

Doctor Jeffrey Whitman with Key Whitman Eye Center said, "Older folks or anyone with cataracts will definitely suffer from those bright headlights." He said its best to avoid driving at night until you have the cataracts removed. "Also, don't look right at the lights, practice looking below or above them."

People with cataracts and/or if you suffer from eye diseases will have the most negative impact from the bright headlights.
