Millennials tend to be liberal, but it appears that Generation Z has them beat.
Polling shows that almost two-thirds of Generation Z - those born after 1996 - think the government should be more involved in your life. Jennifer Mercieca at Texas A&M has seen it up close.
“It does seem like the students are more liberal than they used to be,” Mercieca said, adding she’s taught at A&M for sixteen years.
AA big part of the reason for that is a mainstream media carrying that message.
“A lot of what we see online and on television has caught up with the realities of the world,” she explained.
