PHOTO: Deadly Church Shooting At West Houston Hotel Concludes

(UPDATE: 7:15AM) -- Edigin is reportedly dead that authorities say appears to be self inflicted.

A man involved in a shooting at a Catholic church was located early Friday morning at a hotel in west Houston. 

Harris County Sheriff’s Office says Arthur Edigin, 62, was located at an Extended Stay America near the West Sam Houston Parkway and Westheimer.

Authorities say around 7p.m. Thursday evening, Edigin shot his estranged wife, 66, daughter, 31. Its started with a domestic dispute at the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on Huffmeister Road near Bella Drive.

Deputies day Edigin fired five times gunshots at the passenger side of a vehicle his estranged wife and daughter were in. His wife died on scene. His daughter was critically injured.

According to deputies, Edigin fled the scene and was later located at the west Houston hotel after authorities received a tip he was there.

Authorities were able to confirm Edigin’s identity and a SWAT team is now on hand and they are trying to negotiate with him via cellphone and room phone.

The standoff has been going on for several hours and all occupied rooms on that floor have been evacuated.
