MUGSHOT: Sisters Stab, Shoot Mom to Death for Taking Away Their Cell Phones

A pair of sisters, 12 and 14 years old, are accused of stabbing and shooting their mother to death -- because they were upset over being punished for trying to run her over.

Amariyona Hall, 14, and her 12-year-old sister were arrested over the weekend in Magnolia, Mississippi after sheriff's deputies found the body of their 32-year-old mother, Erica Hall. She had been stabbed multiple times and shot once in the chest, deputies report.

The brutal slaying occurred just days after the girls tried to run down their mother with the family car, according to Pike County Sheriff Kenny Cotton. Their mother punished them by taking away their cell phones, which prompted the girls to kill her, Cotton says.
