As Democrats take control of the House of Representatives today, Woodlands area Congressman Kevin Brady says yesterday’s briefing on the situation at the border at the White House yesterday did not go well.
Brady joined Houston’s Morning News this morning and said Democrats seemingly had their own agenda at that meeting.
“Democrats refused to hear the briefing,” Brady stated.
And Brady said it went even further than that.
“They didn’t want to hear the problems. We are in Houston. We know what the situation is. We are a hotbed for gang violence, for sex trafficking, and for drug trafficking,” Brady explained.
The partial government shutdown, caused by the impasse over the border wall President Trump wants, is now in its 13th day.
