SKETCH: NYC Activist Offers $100K Reward For Killer Of 7-Year-Old Girl

(Houston, TX)  --  Investigators hope a newly released sketch of the suspected killer of seven-year-old Jazmine Barnes will lead to an arrest.  

The shooter is described as a slim white man, possibly in his 40s, with blue eyes and black stubble, and dressed in a black hoodie.  Investigators also released an enhanced video image of the truck.  Local, state and federal law enforcement agencies are trying to find the shooter.

The reward has now increased to $100K to find the killer of 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes

A New York City community activist is offering a large award to whoever turns in the killer of the seven-year-old Houston girl.  Shaun King originally said he'll give $35,000 to anybody who hands over the man who shot Jazmine Barnes.  

Now he's offering the reward for $100,000.

Police said a family was on the East Belt feeder near Wallisville Road about 7 a.m. Sunday when a red four-door pickup pulled up alongside, and somebody in it opened fire.  

The girl was killed and her mother and six-year-old sister were wounded.

Hopkins To Donate Playoff Check To Jazmine Barnes Family

Also, DeAndre Hopkins is promising to donate his playoff check to the family of Jazmine Barnes.  

The Texans wide receiver announced the decision on Twitter today saying it would go towards helping her family pay for funeral costs.  Hopkins also says he sees his own daughter's face when looking at pictures of the murdered seven-year-old.  

Shaq And An HPD Officer Pay For Jazmine Barnes's Funeral

A basketball star and a Houston police officer are paying for the funeral of the seven-year-old girl who was shot and killed last weekend.  Shaquille O'Neal and Senior Police Officer Kenneth Miles delivered a cashier's check to cover the funeral costs.  Jazmine Barnes was killed on Sunday when somebody in a red pickup truck opened fire on her family's car on the East Belt feeder at Wallisville Road.  Her funeral is scheduled for noon next Tuesday at Green House International Church on West Greens Road.
