The flu is here and Texas isn't the hardest hit state this time! Yet.
Dr. Robert Rankins says that we are possibly being exposed to the H3N2 strain - and it causes more serious symptoms that other strains, "The H3n2 historically is a little more problematic than others because it causes more serious illness." Dr. Rankin, in fact, says that a flu shot is imperative - no matter your age! "There are even shots now for children under 6 months. The most vulnerable are children under 6, the elderly and health care workers." The shot is easy to get - even some grocery stores carry it!
Don't mess around with this H3N2 --- this flu is not fun!
