MUGSHOT: Manhunt Over For Inmate Who Escaped San Quentin State Prison

(San Quentin, CA)  --  A manhunt is over for an inmate who escaped from San Quentin State Prison.  Shalom Mendoza was reported missing last Wednesday night and was captured Saturday at a restaurant in Paso Robles.  His car was found abandoned last Friday near a freeway north of Paso Robles.

Mendoza was serving a five-year prison sentence for using a deadly weapon during a Los Angeles County carjacking in 2017, and arrived at the state's oldest prison in April.
