Texas City Hotel Employee Dies After Being Shot By Robber

(Texas City, TX)  --  Texas City police are reporting that a woman who was shot during a robbery at a hotel over the weekend has died.  Officers responded about 7 a.m. Saturday to a robbery at the Fairfield Inn on Emmett F. Lowry Expressway near I-45.  

When they arrived, they found 37-year-old hotel employee Teresa Lynn Custer of Santa Fe had been shot and wounded.  

She was taken by LifeFlight to a hospital, where she died Wednesday.  Custer was the single mother of three boys.  Police are still looking for the suspect.
