Report: Americans Changing In Size, Height

A new report from the CDC says Americans are getting fatter - and slightly shorter, too.

According to the study, the average weight of an American male is 198 pounds, up 2 pounds from a decade ago.  The average weight for women increased six pounds up to 171.

Not only that, but the average height for men has decreased slightly, down about a tenth of an inch from 10 years go.

That means the average American is a only a few pounds short of obesity.  The weight gains were most pronounced among white and Hispanic people.

What do you think is the biggest reason for these weight gains?  Is it our diet?  Do you tend to gain weight during the holidays?
