You Could Be Eating Out Too Much

You want to save more money, but it’s so hard!  Zagat says Houstonians eat out more than people in any other American city. MarketWatch says that's why you feel broke! Personal and Business Coach Lesa Parrish has your first step. “You first have to find your motivation for eating out so much. What’s your payoff?”

She says you could hate cooking or enjoy the social aspect of eating out. She also thinks that you probably think it's a treat you deserve. “If you’re eating out three or four times a week --- it’s not a treat anymore!”

Your restaurant habit is costing you major money - it's why you can't afford a good vacation this year or aren't saving more toward retirement. Parrish says, “Have friends over for a pot luck, take a cooking class, and pack your lunch.” Anyone can make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!  Then check your credit card statement at the end of the month.  You'll be happy you did!
