POLL: Many haven’t gotten raises this year; have you?

The economy has been booming under President Trump, but if you believe one set of poll numbers, not everyone is feeling it.

According to Bankrate.com six out of ten Americans say they haven't gotten a salary increase this year. Economist Vance Ginn at the Texas Public Policy Foundation was surprised at that number.

“When you look at the unemployment rate, it would indicate a tighter labor market, which usually means higher wages,” Ginn said.

The poll talks about what's going on across the country. But what about here in Texas?

“We’ve had a pretty robust economy, low unemployment rate and an uptick in wage growth,” Ginn stated.

Despite the he 62% reporting no salary increase this year, only 25% said they planned to look for a better job in 2019.
