Gas prices drop again

If you have to fill up the old gas tank today, you might be pleasantly surprised at what you will find. The prices that we have seen drop for the last number of weeks, keeps going down.

“Prices are at $2.11 a gallon. That’s down a dime from last week, and a dime from a year ago,” Joshua Zuber with AAA-Texas said.

But you might have to come to terms with the fact that prices could go up again. OPEC could be tightening supply following a meeting today.

“We could see the cartel cut production. If that’s the case, oil prices could increase, and that could lead to a jump in the price at the pump,” Zuber explained.

If you’re up for the road trip, the cheapest gas in Texas is in Sherman-Dennison, where drivers are paying $1.95 a gallon.
