(New York, NY) -- The New York Stock Exchange is going to take Wednesday off to mourn the death of President George Herbert Walker Bush. The NYSE announced it was suspending normal trading on the day the nation mourns the death of its 41st President. It also plans to observe a minute of silence when trading opens on Monday.
It is a tradition for the markets to close on national days of mourning. President Trump declared that Wednesday would be a national day of mourning for Bush's funeral.
