A mother in west Houston is charged with murder.
43-year old Lihui Liu was denied bail in a Harris County courtroom Saturday night, charged with stabbing, drowning, and then decapitating her child before placing the dismembered parts in a black trash bag and deposing the remains in a trashcan in the garage.
Police were called to the family’s home Friday night when the father called to report a stabbing.
The father told police he went looking for his son after returning home that night, and found the 5-year-old’s headless body.
She did not appear before the judge for medical reasons.
Bond was denied.
