Energy Secretary, Ex-TX Governor Rick Perry Remembers George H.W. Bush

Energy Secretary, and former Texas Governor, Rick Perry is remembering George H.W. Bush.  Perry posted a photo of the two Instagram calling the former President a great and good man who inspired everyone.  He also called Bush a fine gentleman, and ended the message with the tradition Texas A&M "Gig 'em."  Bush was given an honorary doctorate to A&M in 1989 and his presidential library and final resting place are located at A&M.  Perry graduated from A&M in 1972 and was part of the Corps of Cadets and a yell leader.

TX Governor Greg Abbott: George H.W. Bush Embodied Class, Dignity

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is calling former President George H.W. Bush the embodiment of class and dignity.  Abbott says Bush was an American hero and icon, and the entire state is mourning his death.  The governor believes Bush is one of the nation's greatest presidents and someone who was a friend to everyone.  He and First Lady Cecilia Abbott also offered their thoughts and prayers to the Bush family.  Bush passed away Friday at the age of 94.
