San Marcos fire set intentionally

Officials investigating the fire from earlier this summer in San Marcos have come to the conclusion the deadly blaze was intentionally set.

Five people died in that fire earlier this year. ATF Special agent in charge Fred Milanowski announced they are putting up a reward in this case.

“We are announcing a reward of ten thousand dollars,” Milanowski said. “We do need help and information from the public in order to solve this.”

Milanowski added that someone out there knows what happened.

“We are confident there are people that have heard something either before this happened or since it happened that can help in our investigation,” Milanowski explained.

Among the five people that died was David Ortiz, who was a graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School. He was 21.
