PHOTOS/VIDEO: NYC Surgeon Successfully Completes Face Transplant

(New York, NY)  --  A California man is able to speak and eat again, thanks to a face transplant and the skill of a New York City surgeon.  Two years ago, Cameron Underwood shot himself in the face and lost his jaw, nose, cheeks, and teeth.  

In January, Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez of NYU Langone Orthopedic Center took his case.  A 23-year-old Johns Hopkins student from New York, named William Fisher, died as an organ donor and his face was used for the transplant.  

Following a 25-hour-long surgery, Cameron now has a new face, and says he feels his whole life is in front of him.
