Millennials may have more opinions than knowledge

If young people are the future, new polling shows they still have a lot of learning to do.

Millennials like to talk and give their opinion, but based on new polling those opinions are on things they know nothing about. An example of this is that half of them agreed with the statement "America is more racist than other countries.' Gary Polland with the Texas Conservative Review says this is par for the course today.

“That’s not just young people. Lots of people have opinions that are not based on facts,” Polland stated,

Young people always had strong opinions. Is it different now?

“I actually think it’s worse than it used to be. That’s because the balance that used to exist in the media is pretty much gone,” Polland explained.

The poll also found that six out of ten millennials didn't know who was on Mount Rushmore, and eight out of ten couldn't name the freedoms guaranteed in the First Amendment.
