Warning About Honey Filled Pacifiers

Health officials are warning about the dangers of giving your baby a honey-filled pacifier.  The Texas Department of State Health Services says four infants in Texas were treated for botulism after being given honey-containing pacifiers from Mexico.

All four infants were hospitalized and provided with life-saving treatment.  Doctors say babies under one don't have the immunity necessary to fight off bacteria in honey.

Botulism is a serious illness which attacks the body's nerves.  It can cause paralysis or even death.
