(Corpus Christi, TX) -- Activists want to see Whataburger stop using Styrofoam cups and containers in favor of more environmentally friendly materials. More than 50-thousand people have signed a petition calling on the popular burger chain to make the change.
Representatives of Environment Texas and Surfrider Foundation's Texas Coastal Bend chapter delivered the petition on Monday to the company's San Antonio headquarters, as well as restaurants in Corpus Christi and Austin. A Whataburger spokesman says they're working on it.
