(Houston, TX) -- Houston is part of a national trend of falling gas prices. Triple-A reports the average price of regular in the metro area has dropped to two-37 a gallon.
That's about seven cents lower than last Friday and a decrease of close to 35 cents compared to the month-ago average price of the fuel.
A Citgo station on Houston's southeast side was selling the fuel yesterday for the cash price of a buck-99.
