Texas A&M Mascot Has First Female Handler

(College Station, TX)  --  The mascot of Texas A&M has a female handler for the first time in the school's history.  Reveille IX [[ the Ninth ]] is the latest in a series of dogs, mostly collies, that have served as the Aggie mascot since 1931.

Looking after "Lady Rev" is the job of sophomore Mia Miller, a corporal in the Corps of Cadets.  Miller says it took eight weeks of training and study for her to achieve the position.  Miss Rev recently helped celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Aggie War Hymn along with Miller and 100-thousand others at Kyle Field.
