SPRING, Texas - Harris County Deputies are investigating the killing of a former deputy during a domestic disturbance that led to a shooting early Wednesday morning.
It was around 5:30a.m. this morning in Spring when that man was shot several times in the head at a home near Meadowhill Court and Meadowhill Drive. His identity has not been released.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the victim's 22-year-old son shot him multiple times then called 9-1-1. During that phone call, he admitted to killing his father.
So far, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says the domestic disturbance started over a woman.
The victim was dead on scene once EMS arrived. He used to work as a deputy for the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities have one person in custody.
