Legalizing Medical Marijuana Among 2019 Texas Legislature Bills

(Austin, TX)  --  Hundreds of bills are already filed for the Texas Legislature to consider when it convenes in January.  Monday was the first day bills could be pre-filed for the 86th Legislature, and by noon, lawmakers had already filed more than 400 of them.

They cover a wide range of issues, from getting rid of daylight saving time in Texas and eliminating the state's franchise tax, to barring cities from requiring businesses to offer paid sick time to their employees, and making the possession of less than an ounce of marijuana a civil offense and not a crime.
