How did ‘blue wave’ hit Harris County?

The blue wave that the mainstream media kept hyping turned out to be more like a blue rain shower. But, it was more of a wave here in Harris County, where there were some surprising results in yesterday’s election.

For instance, voters replaced Ed Emmett with 27-year old Lina Hidalgo as County Judge. Harris County GOP Chair Paul Simpson says there were two issues.

“Beto getting the field to himself for an entire summer with no opposition. Ted Cruz lost the county by over 200 thousand,” Simpson said.

The other issue was straight ticket voting.

“We should have gotten rid of that but the State Senate put it back in,” Simpson stated, adding that Harris County residents should "pray for no storms the next four years."
