The Houston Texans have been on a bit of a roll after starting the season with three straight losses. Houston has put together four consecutive wins, including a 20-7 victory on the road in Jacksonville this past Sunday. They hope to make it five straight tonight when the Miami Dolphins pay a visit to NRG Stadium.
The game comes just four days after the Jacksonville victory. While he admits the short turnaround is a challenge, Coach Bill O’Brien also says it’s not the big deal it used to be.
“Every team now has the resources available to get their guys ready to play. The difference is one team is getting on a plane and the other team isn’t,” O’Brien explained.
The Texans, like every team in the NFL have been dealing with some injury concerns. Quarterback Deshaun Watson has been playing through chest injuries despite the fact the team had him travel to Jacksonville by bus instead of by plane. Watson is less concerned about his health issues and more excited about playing in prime time.
“It’s always great to be able to come home and try to continue the win streak in front of our fans. They’ll be excited. It will be electric. It’s a great opportunity for us,” Watson explained.
