Showering Immunity

Showering Immunity
By iHeartMedia’s Sally Adams

A new medical debate: should we shower every day --- or not?  Do you shower every day? Some studies say this might not be a good idea - especially for kids from 6 to 11 because they should be building up immunities in those years. Others say we commit microbial genocide every time we shower and it dries out our skin.  KTRH's Chief Medical Authority Dr. Joe Galati says, “I see no severe health problems with bathing every day.  We do receive good vitamins from the outside in, but washing daily shouldn’t be a big problem.”  <PSI_END_OBJECT>

Dr. Galati says it's really a cultural thing. “In some countries people take only 1 or 2 baths a week - even though they have running water. (But do YOU want to live there?)
