NOT Exercising will Kill You!
by iHeartMedia’s Sally Adams
We've all heard exercise helps you live longer. A new study takes it further. They found a sedentary lifestyle is worse for your health than smoking, diabetes and heart disease.
Personal Trainer Lisa Dimmitt believes it. “One of my clients came to me taking all kinds of medicine. She had high blood pressure, cholesterol and was on the verge of being a diabetic. Her joints were swollen and she felt rotten. Now she is medication-free and her doctor has given her a complete bill of good health!”
Dimmit urges you to start exercising today - no matter what shape you're in.
“Take your dog for a walk - you’ll bond and both of you will be healthier for it. Take the stairs at work. Park far away from the store. It’s better to start off at a pace you can handle than to try too much too soon and get all burned out and frustrated.”
And exercise is also economical. Cardiovascular disease and diabetes are the most expensive diseases in the United States.
