Houston Home To The Top Two Most Congested Freeways In State

(Houston, TX)  --  Two stretches of Houston freeways have the most traffic congestion in Texas.  The Texas A&M Transportation Institute's annual list of the state's most crowded roads says the 610 West Loop between the Katy Freeway and the Southwest Freeway is the worst, and not for the first time.

Second worst is the Southwest Freeway from the West Loop to 288 in Midtown, which means the two worst freeways in Texas are connected to each other.  Five of the state's ten most congested roads this year are in the Houston area, and 12 of the top 20.

Traffic, generic.
