Texans win fourth straight

The Houston Texans now have a four game winning streak going.

The Texans are now also all alone in first place in the AFC South after beating the Jaguars in Jacksonville 20 to 7. Deshaun Watson threw for a touchdown pass. Lamar Miller ran for 100 yards and a score as well. But Watson says he’s not getting too excited about where the team is just yet.

“It’s cool for now. But we have another big one on Thursday,” Watson stated.

The Texans took advantage of Jacksonville’s mistakes in this game. Jags quarterback Blake Bortles fumbled twice and was benched in favor of Cody Kessler. Before yesterday’s win Coach Bill O’Brien had to listen to talk about how his team was winning ugly. He let loose after the game.

“Whatever you decide is playing well is fine with me. But we won, and we’ve won four in a row,” O’Brien snapped.

The game was special for Texans safety Andre Hal. Hal had been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. The cancer is now in remission, and Hal made his season debut yesterday. Unfortunately, that came five days after his father passed away after suffering a heart attack the previous week.

“I know he would have wanted me to get back on the field. It was for him. I know he was watching me today,” Hal said.

The Texans will be back in action on Thursday night, taking on the Miami Dolphins at NRG Stadium.
