Democratic Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke is being sued over his viral text message campaign. A Dallas-area man filed a class action lawsuit, claiming the O'Rourke campaign illegally sent group texts to voters without getting permission to contact them.
The Collin County resident who filed the suit says. He tried to call the numbers that sent the texts, but only received error messages and disconnected dial tones. A campaign spokesperson claims the program is legal.
The class action suit seeks 500-dollars for each unwanted text message.
