Texans win third straight

After opening the season with three straight losses, the Houston Texans now have three straight wins. But just like their first two wins of the season, the Texans made their fans go through more than their share of rocky moments.

Jonathan Joseph took an interception 28 yards for the winning touchdown with 1:23 left to play as the Texans edged the Bills 20-13 in Houston.  Ka'imi Fairbairn tied the game 11 seconds earlier on a field goal for the Texans.  Joseph says he just took advantage of an opportunity.

“Kareem was the free guy blitzing. I was just playing the quarterback’s eyes and the routes,” Joseph stated.

Deshaun Watson played with a bruised lung and threw a touchdown and two interceptions in the win.  After the game he didn’t try to sugarcoat anything.

“We had some ups and downs. I’m not making any excuses with the injury. As a whole we have to do better,” Watson said.

Buffalo rookie Josh Allen left in the third quarter with an elbow injury, and Nathan Peterman threw the two costly interceptions in his place.  The Bills fell to 2-and-4.

The Texans are now tied with Tennessee and Jacksonville for first place in the AFC South. The Texans will take on the Jaguars this coming Sunday.
