Forget what you’ve heard about a Blue Wave. Texas voters are holding with their Red Preference.
A new Quinnipiac Poll released Thursday morning gives Texas Senator Ted Cruz a nine point advantage over his Democratic rival Congressman Beto O’Rourke, up 54 to 45, with the midterm elections only weeks away.
Their poll last month found the same nine-point margin between the two candidates. A director with Quinnipiac says the back-to-back results show that O’Rourke has hit a wall with Texas voters and that his momentum has been brought to a halt.
97% of Cruz voters said they are positive they won’t change their minds between now and election day.
96% of all voters say their minds are made up, indicating that there are very few undecided voters remaining as the campaigns head in to the final stretch.
