Harris County officials have heard the concerns about the security of the upcoming election based on what Russia tried to do in 2016, and they are doing their best to address them.
Early voting starts October 22nd, and Harris County Clerk Stan Stanart tells KTRH they've your concerns became their concerns, too.
“There tons of things we are doing to ensure the integrity of our systems including the latest in cyber security defense systems,” Stanart said.
Stanart says officials knew if they didn’t act that there would be consequences.
“My concern was that voters might not vote. We want to endure voters they are safe and secure,” Stanart stated, adding that the county is partnering with Clear Channel Outdoors on billboards spreading that same message.
More than 2.3 million people have registered to vote in Harris County.
