STATEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF GEORGE W. BUSH
KENNEBUNKPORT, MAINE – President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush are delighted to announce the marriage of their daughter, Barbara Pierce, to Mr. Craig Louis Coyne, son of Mr. Edward James Coyne, Jr. and Mrs. Darlene Coyne. The couple exchanged vows in a private family ceremony at Walker’s Point in Kennebunkport, Maine, on Sunday, October 7, 2018. The bride wore an ivory silk crepe Vera Wang custom gown and was escorted by her father and grandfather. The wedding was officiated by the bride’s aunt, Dorothy Bush Koch. The bride, a native of Texas and graduate of Yale University, is co-founder and Chair of Global Health Corps. The bridegroom, a native of Georgia and graduate of Vanderbilt University, is a screenwriter. The couple will live in New York City.
