Texas Rejecting Illegal Voting Applications

The Texas Secretary of State’s office is rejecting more than two thousand online voter registration applications because their computer-generated signatures violate state law.  A non-partisan group called vote.org claims responsibility for registering these new voters online in Dallas, Travis, Cameron and Bexar counties.  A spokesperson for the Secretary of State’s office says they have instructed the organization to stop using their process immediately.

The voter registration deadline for the November 6 election is Tuesday, October 9.

Those people who signed up illegally will be notified and given ten days to submit correct paperwork with an actual signature.

You can get details about how to register to vote from the Secretary of State’s office here.
