Man's Body Found After Unconfirmed Gator Attack In West Houston

(Houston, TX)  --  Harris County forensics officials are working to determine the cause of death of a man who died Thursday in a west Houston body of water.  The 30-year-old man and his brother were fishing in Archbishop Fiorenza Park near Westpark and Eldridge around 3:30 p.m. when he stepped into the water and was swept away.

Witnesses say an alligator attacked him, but police haven't been able to confirm that claim.  The man's body was found shortly before 8 p.m.  His identity has not been revealed.
