(Huntsville, TX) -- The second of two executions in Texas this week is scheduled for this evening. Daniel Acker was condemned for killing his girlfriend in 2000 after a fight following an evening at a club in Sulphur Springs. Acker will receive the lethal injection in Huntsville tonight.
On Wednesday, Troy Clark was executed for the 1998 murder of Christina Muse, a former roommate Clark drowned in a bathtub.
Clark and Tyler are the state's ninth and tenth executions this year. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice says six more are on the schedule for 2018.
